Join us this summer as we take our students on a theatre journey to create their own play all within a safe theatre space. Students, along with their instructor, will write, produce, cast and rehearse a show all their own culminating in a final presentation.

The show will use contributions made by each and every student giving them ownership over the final product.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

Classes will take place in person at the Beddington Theatre Arts Centre

FINAL PRESENTATION

Final presentations will take place in the theatre on the last day of each week of camp. Doors will open at 2:45pm.

FOR AGES 9 to 12: Join us this summer for an underwater adventure with music from the songwriters of Frozen and the trending TikTok song "Where's my Dad"!

Disney’s Finding Nemo KIDS is a 30-minute musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

Featuring memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow,” Finding Nemo KIDS brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.

NEW THIS SUMMER - SBT has partnered with STS to present Summer Camps for South Calgary & Area!

StoryBook is thrilled to partner with Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School (STS) for camps in July & August, presented on their beautiful campus in Okotoks, just 15 minutes outside Calgary South city limits!

Experience SBT's and STS's joint commitment to quality camp experiences, conveniently located for our families in South Calgary and the surrounding area. This partnership with STS embodies our shared vision of inspiring compassionate, curious, and creative global citizens. Campers will have the opportunity to pursue their passions while learning to embrace challenges with curiosity and enthusiasm. Most importantly, days are filled with FUN as new friendships form and flourish!

As an added bonus, STS offers citywide busing services from convenient locations around Calgary, and after-camp childcare!

FOR AGES 9 TO 15, STS Campus: Based on the award-winning Broadway musical and the smash hit motion picture!

Legally BlondeThe Musical JR. is a fabulously fun journey of self-empowerment and expanding horizons. The show's instantly recognizable songs are filled with humor, wit and sass — leaving cast members and audiences alike seeing pink!

Legally Blonde JR. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle's boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she's not "serious" enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren't mutually exclusive.  As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all.

Legally Blonde JR. features large, energetic dance numbers with an expandable cast of sorority sisters, law school students, hairdressers and more.
