In the fall of 2015 a new program was developed and created called the Ellie Tims Project, in honour of a key StoryBook founder, Ellie Tims.

Ellie and her co-founders believed that children deserved quality theatre programming and should be the focus of this new theatre called StoryBook Theatre.  Since its inception in 1977, StoryBook has catered to families and children of all ages.

The Ellie Tims project saw nearly 200 children take part in free voice, Dance and Piano lessons in her name.

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the project was put to rest and instead, all the funding was moved to the Ellie Tims Bursary program,.  This new program offers ALL StoryBook programs to families and students who otherwise cannot afford them the chance to partake in theatre education.

To date, over $600,000 in programming has been donated in Ellie's name to Calgary families and students.

In the spring of 2023 Ellie passed away, but her legacy will live in all those students who take part in her name.
