Season 47 | Season to Belong

Belonging comes from being yourself and being seen.

What does it mean to belong? It’s knowing that you’re valued and understood. It’s connecting with “your people” in a special place where you all feel right at home. It’s feeling like you’re accepted, and knowing that you’re a part of something bigger, something extraordinary.

Over the years, StoryBook Theatre has become more than a place to see a musical or play. It’s a place where we all work together to create worlds where inclusion and imagination thrive. It is a community where everyone—those in the spotlight, those behind the scenes, our volunteers, and those in our audience— finds a place where they belong.

SBT’s Season to Belong celebrates our community – one that values the arts and believes in acceptance, creativity, and curiosity. Whether it’s your first time coming to one of our shows, or you’re a long-time patron, you play an integral part in creating the magic you see onstage. Your reactions and applause breathe life into the performances, encouraging and uplifting every artist involved. We appreciate and value YOU as part of our theatre family.

Season 48 includes nine productions that delve into our shared human experiences and our desires to connect and be a part of something. These are stories about resilient characters on journeys of self-discovery—individuals who seek to overcome feelings of isolation, have their voices heard, and meet the people who will help them find their place in the world. We can all relate to these stories, as they remind us that everyone deserves to feel like they belong somewhere.

We invite you to join us - be yourself, and be seen in this place where YOU belong!
