As part of our 49th Season to be Brave, Miracle on 34th Street: The Musical brings a quieter, but no less powerful, kind of courage to our stage—one rooted in hope, belief, and the magic of possibility.
At a time when the world often demands skepticism, this story reminds us of the extraordinary strength it takes to believe in something you can’t always see. Whether it’s Santa Claus, the goodness of others, or the simple joy of childlike wonder—Miracle on 34th Street invites us to lean into faith, even when it’s hard. And that, in many ways, is the bravest thing of all.
This musical isn’t just a holiday tradition. It’s a testament to the enduring power of kindness, imagination, and the human spirit. It asks us to slow down and remember that sometimes, the most radical act is to believe—to believe in joy, in each other, and in the better world we’re all hoping to create.
In a season themed around bravery, this show stands as a reminder that courage doesn’t always shout. Sometimes, it whispers. Sometimes, it simply chooses to believe, against all odds.
We’re honoured to share this classic tale with you, reimagined with warmth and wonder for today’s audiences. Thank you for being part of a community that believes in the power of live theatre, and in the magic it can bring—especially during the holidays.
With heartfelt thanks,

Miracle on 34th Street: The Musical, written by Meredith Willson (creator of The Music Man), is a heartwarming holiday classic based on the beloved 1947 film. Set in New York City during the Christmas season, the story centers around Kris Kringle, a kindly older man who claims to be the real Santa Claus. When he fills in as a department store Santa at Macy’s and begins spreading genuine Christmas cheer, his sincerity and warmth win over shoppers—but also spark skepticism and controversy, especially from those who’ve lost faith in magic.
At the heart of the story is Doris Walker, a pragmatic single mother who works at Macy’s and has raised her young daughter Susan to be sensible and skeptical of fairy tales. As Kris’s influence grows, he begins to melt the walls around both mother and daughter, teaching them to believe not just in Santa Claus, but in the power of hope, kindness, and love. When Kris is put on trial for his sanity, it’s up to the people of New York—and the power of faith—to prove that miracles really can happen.
Filled with Willson’s signature warmth and charm, including songs like “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” Miracle on 34th Street: The Musical is a joyful and uplifting tale about believing in the unseen, rediscovering childlike wonder, and the enduring magic of the holiday spirit.
