This 12 part mini-series of short child-friendly content will feature the beloved characters of the original ZooStreet LIVE productions. Each episode will centre around one of the 12 incredible songs written and composed by Bobby Stagg for the stage production and focus on one of the beloved ZooStreet characters.

OCTOBER 16, 2021
Episode 1 -PENGUIN POLKA
Phoebe and her little brother Parker are about to begin an animal-tastic, musical adventure at ZooStreet’s, Kids Night Out - a night to learn and have fun with the animals.
Their adventure begins as the sun sets on the penguin enclosure. There they meet Finley, Mac, Linda and Noni, the plucky penguin team as well as Zookeeper Rose and Marjie the pinkest Flamingo. After working as a team to solve a problem, there is nothing left to do but POLKA!
Episode 2 - MONKEY MAMBO
The animal fun continues as Phoebe and Parker find themselves monkeying around with Lulu, Alley, Slip and Mickey. The playful, rambunctious monkeys need some lessons in manners, sharing and taking turns. Phoebe and Parker slowly discover they have more in common with the monkeys than they thought… and who is Carl?

Episode 3 - FLAMINGO A-GO-GO
In this episode, Marjie introduces Parker and Phoebe to her “Flamingals”. We soon discover that flamingos can do much more than stand on one leg! How long can YOU stand on one leg? Get ready to dance with the fluffy pink flamingos. .. and who is Carl?
Episode 4 - DINOSAURUS RHYMOSAURUS
How many dinosaurs do you know? Our friend Parker knows all about them. In this episode, Rose and Marjie discover dinosaur facts from Parker and are entertained with a very tricky dinosaur song ... and .. who is Carl

Mr. Bumble Bear is just waking up from his long winter’s nap and is greeted by Parker and Phoebe just as he begins to root around for something good to eat! In this episode, Phoebe and Parker discover how important it is to enjoy every moment. And.... who is Carl?
Episode 6 - RHINOCEROS BALLET
Do you have a secret dream? Rudy the Rhino does and in this episode Parker discovers that they share the same secret. What is it? Tune in to find out. And Who is Carl?

Episode 12 - DUCK CALL
This is an encore short of a call and action song fun for all ages! Join the ZooStreet Ducks in the Duck Call Orchestra!!
This unique collaboration with Zoo Street Productions and StoryBook Theatre will afford those artists included in the development and creation of this series a PAID CONTRACT for their time.
Those looking to be considered for this production will be required to submit a self-tape with the following:
- 1 short slate/hello introduction
- 1 short comedic monologue
- 2 contrasting musical theatre songs
(CONSIDER A 16-32 BAR CUT OF YOUR PIECES)
Please note, we will not accept any songs that do not use a track. All items should be recorded and submitted as separate video files. Refer to the self-tape guide below.

StoryBook believes that inclusivity and diversity are integral to the stories we tell both on and off our stage. We want an environment where everyone, from any background, can do their best work and we have committed to the 35//50 Initiative, We encourage performers of all skills and abilities (physical and/or mental), ages, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, and ethnicity to apply.
This is a unique experience for those who have the opportunity to join this cast. The production is for film and therefore the schedule is shorter and requires less commitment than that of a run of a show. It is expected that should you be cast in the production you are available for 90% of all rehearsal and 100% of all filming dates.
As this production has several parts this may be filmed out of sequence. We will work to maintain a reasonable schedule for all those working on the project.
Those engaged on this production will be provided with a contract fee in association with the part they are engaged for.
REHEARSAL - 2pm to 10pm
REHEARSAL - 6:30pm to 10pm
STUDIO RECORDING- 10am to 6pm
FILMING - 5pm to 11pm*
FILMING - 10am to 11pm*
* Not all actors will be required for all filming dates, however the schedule will be flexible for the team

We will no longer accept videos through any other online video service.
4. You have listed your union affiliation (Equity/Actra)
5. You have an updated resume in PDF format and headshot in image format (jpeg, png)
6. If you have completed all of the above you are ready to submit.
