As a part of a special weekend with our Student Summer Intensive Program we will have a one night only fundraising concert called "TOMORROW'S TALENT, TODAY!" featuring the incredible young performers working here at StoryBook Theatre.  These students will peform along side their teachers and alumni.  The concert will serve as a fundraiser for the 2018 Student Summer Intensive with the goal to raise enough funds to allow up to 5 students the chance to take part in an experience like that received by our students this year. 

 

This is a concert for everyone to see and not to be missed.

Inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, West Side Story is one of the greatest musicals of the 20th century – a love story set on opposite sides of a turf war between rival street gangs. Includes such popular songs as Maria, I Feel Pretty, Tonight, America and Somewhere.  This production will feature the students of the hugely popular Student Summer Intensive Program.

This is the tale, based on the popular book by Victoria Kann and Elizabeth Kann, of Pinkalicious, who can’t stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor’s office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe – a dream come true for this pink loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this pink predicament.

Huck and his pal Tom Sawyer just can’t stop getting into mischief. And when it turns out to be profitable, Huck’s Pa wants in on the action. So much so that he locks Huck in a shed. Managing to escape the makeshift prison, Huck decides he would be better off floating down the river away from home. Along the way, he comes across Jim, a slave escaped from Huck’s aunt’s place. Opening Huck’s mind to the reality of slavery, the journey downriver with Jim is a real education for Huck. Full of adventure, good old-fashioned fun, and some vital life lessons, this American classic is s treat to share with your family.
