We've said goodbye to Season 43
These have not been an easy time, as we have watched days slip by, knowing that our theatre would have been filled with incredible audiences like you and all those patrons who support the work we do.
We have announced plans to move forward with our 2020/21 Season and we have sadly made the decision to not include our productions of Big Fish or A Year with Frog & Toad. We hold a special place in our hearts for both of these productions and know that one day they will find themselves on the StoryBook stage. For now, we say goodbye to what could have been and look toward the future of what will be.
As you know, we are a non-profit that relies on the sales of our programming to support the work that we do. The forced closure has had a devastating impact on our growth, and we are working very hard to make sure StoryBook will see the light of Season 44. What may surprise many of you is that we operate with absolutely no corporate support. We also receive less than 6% through government subsidy annually. The casino funding we rely on has been lost as they are closed, and there is no indication of when or if that loss will be recovered. The fact is, the impact this pandemic will have on the work StoryBook does will last for years to come.
INFORMATION FOR TICKET HOLDERS
In light of this decision, we have moved forward with crediting our patron's accounts for the full value of their ticket purchase. This credit can be applied toward any future StoryBook offering, including theatre subscriptions, tickets, and theatre school programming and will have no expiry.
If you wish to keep your CREDIT ON FILE for future use, we are happy to do so and no further action is required.
DONATE TO WIN 1 of 10 FAMILY SUBSCRIPTIONS TO SEASON 44!
Alternatively, we would also like to invite you to convert your credit into a tax-deductible donation to StoryBook Theatre.
Anyone wishing to make a donation will be entered into a draw to win one of ten Family Subscriptions for 4 for the upcoming 44th Season!
If you wish to turn your credit into a donation, please contact us by email, and typing DONATE in the subject line, and we will gladly make that happen and forward your tax-deductible receipt to you immediately.
Please note, our offices remain closed at this time.
