PHASE ONE:
REGISTRATION

You are invited to register your own team of six or you can simply register as a single player who will then be assigned to a team at random.   In order to participate, you must be a part of a team of six players. 

REGISTER A TEAM OF SIX - $255.00

Your team can be anyone you want, your office, your family or even just you.  There is no wrong way to register a team to play.  As a team, your entry fee of $255.00 ($42.50 per player) will cover your participation ($135) and the cost of a $20 gift card per player ($120 value) which will be purchased on your behalf.  You are welcome to register as many teams as you would like to.

REGISTER A SINGLE-PLAYER - $45.00
You don't have a team, but still want to play?!  Register to join a team of strangers!  Who knows, maybe one of these new friends could be the reason your holiday season gets a little more merry and bright.  As a single-player, your entry fee of $45.00 will cover your participation ($25.00) and the cost of a $20 gift card which will be purchased on your behalf.  You are welcome to register multiple times as a single player.  You may also register as a team and be the only person on your team!

 

There is NO LIMIT to the number of entries per person, but there is a limit to the number of available tickets - to HURRY & BUY NOW!

REGISTRATION CLOSES - Friday, December 11, 2020 at 9pm

 

NOTE:  Credits on file may not be to purchase fundraising tickets or sales efforts.  Fundraising efforts are used to support our ability to provide our programming which credits can be applied to in the future.

PHASE TWO:

TIME TO PLAY

Starting Monday, December 14 to Friday, December 18, 2020 draws will be held daily at 2 pm, ONLINE, through FACEBOOK LIVE.  Each day individual names will be drawn and each drawn name will be eliminated from the competition.

Your team will remain in the competition so long as one team member remains after each round of draws.

The number of names drawn each day to be eliminated will depend on the final registration.

The Final Date of Drawing, Friday, December 18th at 2 pm will determine who the final three teams are and the winners of the 2020 StoryBook Survivor Holiday Raffle.

Want to guarantee you last more than one day of eliminations?  ADD IMMUNITY to your registration for an additional $5 per player per eligible draw dates*, to a MAXIMUM of 3 immunities.

If an immune registrant is drawn their name will carry over to the next draw date.


*Eligible draw dates are Dec. 14, 15 & 17  (16 & 18 are non-immunity dates)

The collected Grocery Store gift cards will be distributed among the winners.  The total quantity for each team will depend on the final number of players registered by the registration deadline, up to a maximum of 866 players.  The actual distribution will be as follows:

1st PRIZE:       45% of the total gift cards collected

2nd PRIZE:   20% of the total gift cards collected

3rd PRIZE:     10% of the total gift cards collected

EXAMPLE based on 100 registered teams, prizes would be distributed as follows:

1st PRIZE:     $5400 in gift cards for the team

2nd PRIZE:   $2400 in gift cards for the team

3rd PRIZE:     $1200 in gift cards for the team

For every registration, we receive, 25% of all gift cards purchased, will go into the community pot to be shared with Calgary and Area families in need this holiday season.​  Should our fundraising efforts sell out we will see more than $5000 in gift cards made available for donation.

Registration

Rules & Regulations

  1. Licensee: 2020 StoryBook Survivor Holiday Raffle (the “Raffle”) shall be conducted by the Raffle Licensee pursuant to a license (the “License”) from the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (“AGLC”) and in accordance with the Criminal Code of Canada, Alberta Gaming and Liquor Act and Regulations, AGLC Policy, AGLC Raffle Terms and Conditions, and the terms of the Raffle Licensee Agreement between the Raffle Licensee and StoryBook Theatre. (the “Service Provider”)
     

  2. Date and Location of Draw:  The drawing will commence on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 2pm on FACEBOOK LIVE.  It will continue each day at 2pm until December 18, 2020 at 2pm where the final names will be drawn.  The total number of names drawn each day will be determined by the total number of registrants divided by the total number of draw dates remaining.
     

  3. Rules: These are the official 2020 StoryBook Survivor Holiday Raffle rules.
     

  4. Eligibility: The Raffle is open to all persons who are located in the Province of Alberta when purchasing tickets online. Ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older. Employees of the Service Provider, the Raffle Licensee including its Board of Directors and members of their immediate family (defined as mother, father, brother, sister, son, daughter, husband or wife, who reside in the same household) are NOT eligible to participate (defined as purchase tickets or receive prizes) in the Raffle.  Each ticket sold shall be eligible to participate in each draw conducted under the authority of the License.
     

  5. Minor Children: Adult ticket purchasers are not to give their ticket to a person under the age of eighteen (18) years as required by the Public Trustees Act.
     

  6. Tickets: Ticket pricing shall be:   
    1 for $25.00 - Total of 200 tickets available
    6 for $150.00 - Total of 111 tickets available
    (Gift Cards are in addition to the ticket cost at $20.00 per registrant)

    Total Ticket Value = $19,985.00
     

  7. No Refunds. All ticket sales are final. There will be no refunds issued to anyone for any reason.
     

  8. No tax receipt will be issued for any portion of the price of a ticket.
     

  9. How to purchase: Visit www.sbtsurvivor.org 
     

  10. The Draw: Tickets will be available for purchase starting at 9:00 AM MST on November 23, 2020.. Sales will close at 9:00 PM MST on December 11, 2020.  All draws will be made in accordance with AGLC guidelines and will take place in Calgary, Alberta, at the StoryBook Theatre office between December 14 to 18, 2020. 

    Tickets shall be drawn from a container that is transparent or constructed with mesh so that tickets can be seen from the outside.

    Tickets must be manually drawn from the container in a random manner. Winning tickets cannot be randomly drawn by a computer or other random number-generating device.

    The draw can be made by any person who does not own a ticket or a share of a ticket in the draw container.  

     

  11. Elimination: Each day a set number of names will be drawn eliminating registrants from play.  Only those with paid immunity on the selected dates, December 14, 15 & 17, 2020 will be eligible to continue on with gameplay.  Elimination is final and complete.
     

  12. Winning:  The draw will continue until there are three teams remaining with at least one player per team.  The final three teams will then be drawn in order to determine the third, second, then first prize winners.
     

  13. Winner Notification: The winning ticket number will be posted on the StoryBook Theatre website at www.sbtsurvivor.org  no later than 7:30 PM MST on December 18, 2020.  The winners will be contacted by phone.
     

  14. The Prize:  The Prize will be 75% of the Grocery Gift cards collected on behalf of each registrant divided between the three remaining registrants and their team(s).  Prizes will be shared with teams as follows; First Prize (45%), Second Prize (20%), Third Prize (10%).
    The prize is not transferable and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions, except at the Raffle Licensee’s sole discretion. The designated Raffle purchase is validated through the StoryBook Theatre online sales system.
