SHOW SUMMARY
Based on the 1968 film of the same name, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang tells the story of an eccentric inventor named Caractacus Potts who, with the help of his children Jeremy and Jemima, sets about restoring an old race car from a scrap heap. Soon, they discover the car has magical properties including the ability to float and take flight. However, conflict arises when the Baron desires the same car. What happens when family and teamwork is put to the test? Get your Chitty Chitty Bang Bang tickets to find out!
If the original production hinged on convincing you a car could fly, this one proves it can fly higher and further than ever before. Above all, it’s one of those rare shows whose thematic message of teamwork and pulling together is borne out by the seamless fluidity of the staging. For the ultimate sugar rush, I can only recommend that you purchase a ticket Toot Sweet.

ABOUT THE CREATORS

THE SHERMAN BROTHERS
The work of the brothers Richard M Sherman and Robert B Sherman is enjoying a fresh chapter of success in musical theatre with sensational stage revivals of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins now playing across the UK. Chitty originally opened in the West End in 2002 going on to become the longest-running musical ever at the London Palladium, before playing Broadway and beyond, garnering huge international success.
The stage production of Mary Poppins, co-produced by Disney and Cameron Mackintosh, opened to critical acclaim in London in 2004, winning two Olivier Awards, with the Broadway production running for six years. The Jungle Book, another Shermans/Disney favourite, has also recently made the screen-to-stage transition, premiering at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago. (MTI)

JEREMY SAMS
Theatre director, lyricist and translator of opera libretti as well as a composer, orchestrator and musical director, Jeremy Sams is the ultimate polymath. Born in 1957, Jeremy studied Music, French and German at Magdalene College, Cambridge and Piano at the Guildhall School of Music. Early on he worked as a freelance pianist and coach, giving frequent recitals and tours and doing stints as a repetiteur at opera houses in Brussels and Ankara. (MTI)

Most recently he composed the score for Roger Michell's screen adaptation of Ian McEwan's Enduring Love – winning the 2005 Ivor Novello Award for 'Best Score for a Feature Film'. In 2002 he created a jazz-style score for the same director's highly acclaimed feature The Mother, scripted by Hanif Kureishi and Starring Anne Reid and Daniel Craig, which won the Director's Fortnight at Cannes the following year. Jeremy's television credits include Initial Film & TV's Have Your Cake and Eat It.

FROM THE DIRECTOR
The story of Cinderella is 100s of years old. The first time it was put to paper was in 1634. There are so many versions of Cinderella, novels, Fairy Tales, films, children’s storybooks, plays, musicals AND it has been shared in every language. I happen to think our version is pretty special.
In this story Ella pursues her own destiny, shattering traditional standards and in turn aims to write her own future. And unlike other versions of this story, she does it all with the added challenge of constant obedience, a “gift” from her Fairy Godmother. Add a wicked Stepmother, 2 self serving Stepsisters, some Ogres and a Fairy Godmother who is of little help, and you have got yourself a real adventure. She never gives up despite it all, a true heroine in my books.
The Team, cast, and crew, have worked tirelessly to create this show just for you. They are indeed nothing short of extraordinary. Every challenge was met with positivity and support, we wanted this to be a show your entire family will enjoy.
We welcome you all to the Kingdom of Frell, we are grateful you could join us. Now lose yourself in this remarkably magical and courage driven adventure.
