Come get swept away as StoryBook Theatre joins this
classic battle for Freedom, Truth, and Love!

“Les Misérables”, the show, is a masterful musical adaptation of Victor Hugo’s classic novel. As stories go, they don’t come more epic than Les Miserables. Imprisoned for stealing a loaf of bread, petty thief Jean Valjean is released from his 19-year term and not only becomes an honest man, but the mayor of a prosperous town and a loving adoptive father - violating his parole in the process. The relentless Inspector Javert, who makes a decent life for Valjean impossible, consequently pursues him. Only years later, after Valjean proves his mettle during a bloody student uprising and saves the life of a young man hopelessly in love with Valjean’s adopted daughter, Cosette, does the ex-convict finally feel fully redeemed. *CONTENT WARNING

JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING
TECHNICOLOUR® DREAMCOAT

Music by ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER. Lyrics by TIM RICE.
- Runs April 15 – 30, 2011 @ The Pumphouse Theatre

“The story of a boy who’s dreams come true, and it could be you...!

“Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, has become a family classic not to be missed. This colorful retelling of the Bible’s ”coat of many colors” story about Joseph comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical parable. Its timeless themes of love, betrayal, virtue and redemption have made it a continuous global favorite. Joseph, his father’s favorite son, is a boy blessed with prophetic dreams. When he is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and taken to Egypt, Joseph endures a series of adventures in which his spirit and humanity are continually challenged. When news of Joseph’s gift to interpret dreams reaches the Pharaoh (wryly and riotously depicted as Elvis), Joseph is well on his way to becoming second in command. Eventually his brothers, having suffered greatly, unknowingly find themselves groveling at the feet of the brother they betrayed but no longer recognize. With wall to wall hits – including “Close Every Door” and “Any Dream Will Do” this score sings out to young and old alike. Only in a musical of Biblical proportions can you find country music, jamacian beats, heat-stirring ballads, toe-tapping showtunes, 50’s Rock and Roll and so much more!
